Where You Stand Today
We organize a complete balance sheet and cash-flow picture: every account, income source, debt, policy and document. Then we identify your strengths, challenges, opportunities and threats in plain English.

Retirement, taxes, investments, insurance and estate planning shouldn't live in separate folders. We bring every moving piece together into one clear, written game plan, and we stay with you as life changes.

Most families we meet have done a lot of things right. They saved diligently, bought a home, raised a family, maybe built a practice or climbed the ranks at a hospital or company. Along the way, the financial picture got complicated. A 401(k) from one job, a 403(b) from another, an IRA, a brokerage account, a pension estimate, life insurance through work, estate documents from years ago. Each piece made sense when it was added. Nobody has looked at how they fit together.
That is what financial planning is for. Not a sales presentation, and not a thick binder that sits on a shelf. A clear picture of where you stand, what you want your money to do, and the practical steps to get there, in the right order.
The starting point does not have to be perfect. We are not here to judge past decisions. We are here to help organize the pieces so the next decisions become clearer.
The Full Picture
Every plan starts with your goals and works backward through cash flow, taxes, investments, insurance and estate planning. Nothing is looked at in isolation, because one decision almost always affects another.
We organize a complete balance sheet and cash-flow picture: every account, income source, debt, policy and document. Then we identify your strengths, challenges, opportunities and threats in plain English.
Retiring at a certain age, helping children, traveling while you are healthy, leaving a legacy. We turn those goals into numbers and model whether your resources can support them under conservative assumptions.
A prioritized action list, not a vague set of recommendations. Which accounts to consolidate, which beneficiaries to update, when to consider a Roth conversion, what to raise with your CPA or attorney, and in what order.
Planning at One Table
Financial plans fall apart at the seams, where the investment advice doesn't account for taxes, or the estate documents don't match the beneficiary forms. ClearPath is built to close those gaps.
Our team pairs CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professionals with an IRS Enrolled Agent and an Accredited Estate Planner®, so retirement income, tax strategy and estate coordination are handled together, by people who talk to each other. We also coordinate directly with your CPA, estate attorney and insurance professionals, so everyone is working from the same playbook.
We are fiduciaries, obligated to act in your best interest. Our planning is designed around your goals, not around selling a product.
Who We Help
Our comprehensive planning work tends to fit families in one of these situations.
Retirement is close or already here, and you want to know whether you are on track, what could derail you, and what to do now to keep your options open.
High income, complex benefits, equity compensation or practice ownership, and very little time to coordinate it all. You want a team that understands the details and keeps the plan moving.
An inheritance, a business sale, a divorce, the loss of a spouse, or a move. Big moments call for a pause and a plan before irreversible decisions are made.
You have been managing things yourselves, or with several professionals who never talk to each other. You want a single team to organize the pieces and a clear, shared understanding of the plan.
What We Do
Your plan is built around the areas that matter most to your situation. For most families, that includes some combination of these.
Year-by-year projections of income, spending, taxes and portfolio withdrawals, stress-tested with “what-if” scenarios so you can see how the plan holds up if markets, health or timing change.
Multi-year tax projections, Roth conversion analysis, withdrawal sequencing and Medicare premium planning, coordinated with your CPA.
A portfolio built around the jobs your money needs to do, with allocation, diversification and concentration risk managed as part of the plan.
RSUs, stock options, ESPPs and employer stock analyzed for tax impact and risk, with a phased strategy that fits your broader plan.
Life, disability, long-term care, umbrella and employer coverage reviewed for gaps and overlap. We identify the risk first, then coordinate with qualified insurance professionals where appropriate.
Beneficiary and titling reviews, Massachusetts estate tax projections, family support decisions and coordination with your estate attorney.
What Working Together Looks Like
Planning is not a one-time event. The first plan gives you a roadmap, and we keep it current as your life, the markets and the tax rules change.
01
We begin with what is top of mind, then gather the moving pieces: statements, tax returns, benefits information and estate documents. It does not need to be organized. That is our job.
02
Our team builds your plan, including a clear summary of where you stand, projections under conservative assumptions, and a prioritized action list. We walk through it together until it makes sense.
03
We help put the plan into action, coordinating with your CPA and attorney, then meet regularly to review progress and adjust when life changes. You always know what is next.

Common Questions
What does a comprehensive financial plan include?
A ClearPath plan typically includes a complete balance sheet, cash-flow and retirement projections, tax strategy, investment recommendations, an insurance review, and estate and beneficiary coordination, all tied to your goals. Most importantly, it includes a prioritized action list so you know what to do next and in what order.
What is the difference between a financial planner and a financial advisor?
The terms are often used interchangeably. What matters more is the advisor's credentials, whether they act as a fiduciary, and whether they look at your whole financial picture or just your investments. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional has completed rigorous education, examination and experience requirements and commits to ongoing continuing education.
Is ClearPath a fiduciary?
Yes. As fiduciaries, we are obligated to act in our clients' best interest. Our planning is designed around your goals, not around selling a particular product.
When should I start working with a financial planner?
There is no wrong time, but many of the most valuable planning decisions happen in the five to ten years before retirement, when choices about savings, taxes, Social Security and investments start to have deadlines attached. Starting earlier leaves more room to plan.
Do you coordinate with my CPA and estate attorney?
Yes, and we think it makes a real difference. We share projections, proposed strategies and beneficiary information with your other professionals so decisions are made together, before year-end or before documents are signed, rather than after the fact.
How often will we meet?
After your initial plan is built, we meet regularly to review progress, and more often around big decisions like retirement dates, Social Security elections or a Roth conversion. We also stay in touch between meetings whenever something changes in your life.
Who is a good fit for ClearPath's financial planning?
We typically work with pre-retirees and retirees across Worcester County, Central Massachusetts and MetroWest with $2 million to $10 million in net worth who want their retirement, tax, investment and estate planning coordinated in one place. If you are outside that range, we are glad to point you toward a trusted resource.
