Common Questions
Retirement Tax Assessment Questions
Who is the assessment for?
It is designed for individuals and couples within about ten years of retirement, or already retired, typically with $2 million to $10 million in net worth across Central Massachusetts and MetroWest. If you are outside that range, we are glad to point you toward a trusted resource.
What should I bring?
Your most recent federal and Massachusetts tax returns, recent statements for your retirement and investment accounts, and any pension or Social Security estimates you have. If something is missing, bring what you have. We can fill in gaps together.
Do we meet in person or online?
Either. Many clients prefer a video meeting, and you are always welcome at our office at 1 East Main Street in Northborough.
Is there any obligation?
No. The goal is to show you where you stand and what is worth acting on. If working together makes sense, we will explain how our planning relationship works. If it does not, you still leave with a clearer picture.
Do you prepare tax returns?
No. We focus on tax planning, meaning the decisions that shape your future tax bill, and we coordinate with your CPA or tax preparer so everyone is working from the same plan.
